''... the democratic Republic is no more than a camouflaged form of bourgeois dictatorship. At the height of capitalism, when this represented a progressive factor, the bourgeoisie could allow itself the luxury of conceding a series of “democratic” liberties – considerably limited and full of conditions, because of its economical and political domination – to the working classes. Today in the imperialist era, “the final stage of capitalism”, the bourgeoisie, in order to overcome its internal contradictions, is forced to resort to the establishment of regimes of brutal dictatorship (fascism) which destroy even the paltry democratic liberties.''

I reference to the May 20, 2005 article about the ACLU lawsuit against the FBI ...
Kate Randall writes:
''...that the FBI and local police departments have engaged in intimidation tactics against human rights, civil liberties, antiwar and other advocacy groups based on political association...''
I would like to add that the dragnet extends beyond the U.S. border into Western Europe and that police forces here in Sweden are collaborating with U.S. police in the persecution of known anti-war activists, Arab immigrants and asylum seekers who are deemed to be ''anti-american''.

The Swedish Justice Ministry takes the warrants for granted. It simply carries out the arrests and turns the persons in question into U.S. custody. Persons targeted have no right to due process. The extradition hearings are a joke. The Swedish judges simply do as they are told.
This is happening now in Sweden as the society is still ''digesting'' Swedish secret service participation in the illegal ''rendition'' of two Arab asylum seekers who were detained by the CIA
on Swedish territory. The two persons in question where simply kidnapped from the streets and flown to Syria and Egypt on the ''torture jet''. The ghost lear jet that the CIA is using to remove the targeted from Europe. It was allegedly photographed taking off from Arlanda airport in Stockholm by an independent journalist but airport security confiscated his camera and Swedish police had him arrested for ''criminal tresspassing''. The boy is in jail. The Swedish Justice Minister (a ''socialist'') recently said on TV that he agrees with ''rendition'' and that his policy is to collaborate with U.S. ''anti-terrorist'' efforts.
I know of one of those who has been targeted. He told police that it was not possible that he had ''warrants'' in the U.S. because he had never been there. Furthermore, Swedish police admit that they do not even have fingerprint or other evidence proving that the ''warrants'' in question apply to him. Still they want him to ''turn himself in'' for ''questioning''. He refused. He had to leave his home to remain safe. As far as he knows he is ''wanted''. The authorities ''suspended'' his residence permit (he is a foreigner) and also his State pension payments.
Two years ago he succesfuly sued the Swedish police for brutality and ''won'' an official apology.
He was quite active with the anti-war movement in the city where he lived. The irony is that he was forced to leave his country of origin (Cuba) because he had been targeted by police there for his involvement in dissident activities while a student at Havana University.
He feels he ended up crawling out of one hole to land in another.
We are witnessing the globalisation of the police state.

The tactic of the FBI is to manufacture phoney criminal charges and then obtain warrants from US judges that are forwarded via the U.S. Marshalls service (which handles extradition requests) to the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm. The Embassy then requests that the Swedish Justice Ministry order the police to place into custody the persons targeted. This is all related to 'Operation Falcon'. You reported about this a month ago.
