Translation of Communique issued by the Communist Party of Venezuela in reply to Imperialist aggression against PDVSA and the Bolivarian Republic:

"PCV llama a acelerar formación de Polo Patriótico para enfrentar agresión imperialista."

[The Communist Party of Venezuela calls on the acceleration of efforts to consolidate the formation of the Patriotic Front to confront Imperialist aggression]

"CARACAS, 30 MAY. 2011, TRIBUNA POPULAR TP.- El Partido Comunista de Venezuela (PCV) rechazó hoy la agresión imperialista contra el pueblo de Venezuela y llamó a acelerar la formación del Frente Nacional Patriótico Antiimperialista (Polo Patriótico) para enfrentar férreamente unidos al enemigo principal de la revolución bolivariana."

[The Communist Partry of Venezuela today rejected imperialist aggression against the people of Venezuela and called for the acceleration of efforts to consolidate the formation of the Patriotic National Front to confront in unity the main enemy of the Bolivarian Revolution.]

"Así lo expresó en rueda de prensa, Oswaldo Ramos, miembro del Comité Central del PCV, quién destacó que “está agresión no es exclusivamente en contra de Petróleo de Venezuela (PDVSA), sino que es en contra de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela y lo que representa el proceso revolucionario para el mundo".

[This statement was issued by Oswaldo Ramos, member of the Central Comite of the PCV, who emphasised that "this agreesion is not only aimed at Petroleos de Venezuela, but it is aimed at the Bolivarian Republic and what it represents to the international revolutionary process.]

"El Partido Comunista manifestó su rechazo a esta nueva agresión imperialista contra de Venezuela y hizo llamado a todo el pueblo a redoblar las políticas de defensa de la patria."

[The Communist Party expressed its repudiation of the lattest act of imperialist agression against Venezuela and called on the Venezuelan people to increase their efforts in defense of the common motherland.]

“Las respuestas que se han venido dando en todo el país, han sido respuestas contundentes a favor de la independencia y soberanía de nuestro país y rechazando la agresión”, señaló."

[''The responses from different parts of the country, have been clearly in favour of independence and soveregnity of our country  and in rejection to agression.'', he said.]

"Oswaldo Ramos, quien es también Secretario Político del Comité Regional del estado Bolívar del PCV, recordó la justeza de la política del Partido de avanzar a la conformación del Frente Nacional Patriótico Antiimperialista, llamado Polo Patriótico."

[Oswaldo Ramos, who is also political secretary of the regional comite of the PCV for Bolivar State, commented on the correctness of party policy as it pertains fostering the advance of the Patriotic Anti-Imperialist National Front.]

“Se hace necesario –frente a esta agresión- una respuesta unitaria y contundente del pueblo venezolano, y es precisamente con la conformación del Polo Patriótico la herramienta para enfrentarla de manera firme”, enfatizó Ramos."

[It is necessary -in order to stand up against this agression - to give a united and forcible response of the Venezuelan people, and the tool necessary to accomplish this is the consolidation of a Patriotic Front, so that it can be confronted in a firm manner.]

"En otro orden, el dirigente comunista destacó el llamamiento hecho por el Presidente Chávez para avanzar en la discusión, debate y aprobación de la nueva Ley Orgánica del Trabajo, sosteniendo la necesidad de respetar los procesos que se han avanzado en la Comisión de Desarrollo Social de la Asamblea Nacional e incorpóralos a la nueva discusión."

[In another matter, the communist leader echoed the appeal made by President Chavez to advance in the discussion, debate and approval of the new comprehensive  labour law (LOT),  while maintainig the need to respect the processes that have been advanced in the Social Development Comitte of the National Assembly with an eye towards incorporating these into the discussion.]

“Esas propuestas que salieron de los portones de las empresa, que salieron de las universidades, sean tomado en cuenta y sumado a la nueva consulta que se va a iniciar en los días próximos”, precisó."
